TOUGH NIGHT FOR GIBBONS AT MOSPORT SPEEDWAY
IN THE FULL THROTTLE 200

Stouffville, ON-(August 12, 2007) – The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series driver

qualified well and had high hopes for the Monroe Brakes/Mastercraft Chevy, but

after only twelve laps he was caught up in the aftermath of a crash that left his

Monte Carlo badly damaged and any chance of a good finish quickly diminished.

Gibbons made many trips to the pits for repairs and was scored as two laps

down, but unfortunately was never able to capitalize and regain those laps, and

came home 14th.

“What a disappointment, if we could have got back on the lead lap, we would

have been able to bring home a top five, but tonight wasn’t our night.”

Commented Gibbons.

Race Summary:

The win went to # 4 Don Thompson Jr., second place to # 9 Mark Dilley, and

third # 02 Kerry Micks.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series returns to Quebec, August 18-19th for

the running of Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres.
